BT22 Live

Help that arrives early — and knows what you need.

BT22 Live is a planned dashboard for the people you choose — your circle and, in certain situations, local first responders. It shows who might need support, with lead time before a dangerous crisis point, and gives the people coming to help specific information on how to help.

The idea

The right support, sooner.

BT22 Live is a planned dashboard for the people you choose — your circle and, in certain situations, local first responders. It shows who might need support, with lead time before things reach a dangerous crisis point.

The goal is to get you the right support sooner, and to give the people coming directly to you specific information on your needs and how they can best help you.

It uses signals such as your Medication Safety check-ins, so the people you chose can see that someone might need support early, rather than only once it’s already a crisis.

Who sees what

Only the people you choose, and only what you choose.

Your circle

Parents, a spouse, or anyone else you chose. They see how you’re doing and what to do about it.

Local first responders — in certain situations

If you choose, your risk level is shared with local first responders for the situations you select. They see your level and the information you chose to add about your needs and how they can best help you.

Sharing more of your profile is a separate choice: Responder Access.

Your control

You can revoke it at any time.

  • Off unless you turn it on.
  • You choose each person or agency, and which situations they’re told about.
  • You can revoke it at any time, for one person or for everyone.
  • Before you share, you can preview exactly what they would see.
  • Sharing with your circle is separate from sharing with first responders.

Choose with care

Who sees your level is your decision. Sharing with your circle only is always an option.

In the moment

Learn what to do, right when you need to.

Even if they’ve never had crisis response training, a responder can learn what to do right in the moment, from their BT22 Live dashboard or in the phone app, with information tailored to that individual. Your circle can too.

It’s meant to support training, not replace it.

Rural areas

Built for long drives and small budgets.

In rural areas, help can be a long drive away and budgets are small. Knowing who might need support early, and what will help when you arrive, makes the drive count.

What it is not

A dashboard — not a dispatch system.

  • It is not 911 or 988, and it doesn’t replace them.
  • Behind The 22 does not dispatch emergency responders or call 911 for you.
  • A quiet dashboard doesn’t mean someone is safe, and a level is not a prediction.
  • It only shows people who chose to share, and only to the people they chose.
  • It is not available yet.

Before it launches

What we’ll publish first

We’ll publish how BT22 Live works before anyone is asked to use it: how levels are determined, who can see what, how responders and agencies are verified, and how it was reviewed by qualified clinicians.

Are you a first responder, an agency, or a family who wants to help shape it? Email research@behindthe22.com.
